Action Items for Researchers who Do Not Have CMS Authorization for These Data

If you need Medicare, Medicaid, and/or assessment data for your NHATS-related study and have a CMS DUA in place, we recommend working with NHATS and ResDAC to add relevant data years to your existing CMS DUA.

If you need Medicare, Medicaid, and/or assessment data for your NHATS-related study and are currently in the process of requesting these data from CMS, we recommend working with ResDAC to determine whether to modify your existing request or create a new one.

If you need Medicare, Medicaid, and/or assessment data for your NHATS-related study and do not have a CMS DUA in place, we recommend holding off on submitting a new CMS request, as the process for requesting CMS-linked data from our Center is shifting to a faster, streamlined process in the coming weeks. We will provide a detailed overview of the new data request process via email once it is finalized.
